The question of the ages, and all the time, is WHAT'S NEW? Hey - we're an invention group, so there'd better be something NEW happening. We are still plugging away daily, coming up with great (and some not-so-great) ideas, and finding entertainment in the great people we have on staff - complete with those grandkids running through the place. We have on-location size, dexterity, and play-test capabilities! There's new and ongoing product at: Fisher-Price, Hasbro, Hasbro Games, Wild Planet, Imagination Games, Out Of The Box, Pressman (Hint: A NEW game), Thinkfun, Patch Products, Toy Quest, Vivid, Cadaco, Bizak, E&B Giftware, iToys, Pressman, Estes, International Playthings, MGA, Little Kids, Microsoft, and THQ. Probably the most brand-new fun for us is the new "CRAYON TOWN" line at Wild Planet, the addition of the CARS license to our beloved GEO TRAX at Fisher-Price, as well as "UCREATE ARTIMATION" new from Mattel. Look out for some new games from our friends at Hasbro. We're well entrenched in next year already, with a whole bunch of interesting opportunities on our plate, licenses being discussed, deals being talked through. The industry keeps changing. The world keeps changing. I personally like to refer to it as End-Of-The-World-itis, and it sure seems like that. Our dear Lord has been so gracious to all of us, and the time we spend here we want to spend profitably, and wisely, "redeeming the time" in Bible-speak. Around here we are all trying to find a healthy balance for our lives, because there is more to our callings in life than Rudell Design, as much as I love this place, and this industry. We are confident that if we are hearing the Lord and following His lead, we'll do just fine. We're at 34 great years in business right now, and counting! Our desire is for ongoing success, and that success is not simply financial. It has to do with success in knowing we are doing what we are supposed to be doing, remaining a testimony for ethical business, to the best of our ability. We are not perfect, but we firmly believe "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is not suspended during office hours. That kind of attitude would set anyone, any company, up for more problems than they would want to imagine. Let's not go there. We're more inclined to think positively - and set our sights high. Let's all keep moving forward, doing good product, establishing relationships that go beyond cash-value, all the way to friendship. Creativity remains the handiwork of the Creator. We give Him the glory. Elliot |
